Scott Wilson

Scott Wilson is a defense technology leader who has transformed how the United States tests and integrates hypersonic systems. Over a 34-year career in the Department of Defense, he has built and led programs that compress timelines, cut cost, and move capability to the warfighter faster. Scott founded the Multi-Service Advanced Capability Hypersonic Test Bed (MACH-TB)—managed within OUSW(R&E)/TRMC—to bring commercial partners into government test workflows and establish a repeatable, affordable backbone for national hypersonics experimentation and transition. Previously at the Missile Defense Agency, he led Test Planning & Design, authored the Integrated Master Test Plan, and served as C2BMC Director of Test and as mission director for multiple flight tests. Today, as founder of Iron Will Ventures, he helps government and industry scale hypersonic T&E and manufacturing, strengthen the industrial base, and accelerate transition to operational capability. Scott also serves on the University of Alabama College of Engineering External Advisory Board and the University’s National Security Advisory Board.
